Future Plans for The Image Editor
(time permitting)
All filters are confirmed to work in Chrome. My absolute first priority is to update to make sure they all work in all modern browsers.
A single Windows/OSX styled interface for accessing all the filters.
Copy and Paste clipboard access.
Side by side comparison of original image and file size versus new compressed image and file size when saving images.
Expanding the Psychedelic Filter to provide additional color channel manipulation beyond the current channel rotation.
Adding a Light and Shadows Filter to improve the appearance of poorly exposed images.
Adding an HDR filter that simulates the effect of HDR photography.
The ability to apply effects to selections instead of the entire image.
Clean up the code. This won't effect you in any way, I just like keeping my code clean.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are images encrypted for transport across the internet?
A: No. There is no transport across the internet, everything is done on your computer inside your browser.
Q: Will my files be damaged by experimenting with the image editor?
A: No. The only way a file can be damaged is if you accidentally or intentionally overwrite it when saving a new file.
Q: The image editor does not work on my mobile phone or tablet, is there anything I can do?
A: If it's an Apple product, no. Despite Apple's claims, iOS does not implement HTML5 according to W3C standards. Otherwise, possibly. Please see the next question, and include your device name and model number in addition to the other data I request.
